| 1964 -- Charles Vosburgh, a speculator from Courtland, NY, purchased Sekon, subdivided it into many small parcels and auctioned off the contents, buildings and land. All property of former Fish Rock Camp and Camp Calumet sold at public auction, July 11, 1964. July 9 Adirondack Daily Enterprise ran a lengthy article about the upcoming auction. |
| The story listed a number of works of art included in the auction. Among them were "six large mural-type oils of Belgian wildlife scenes" by Charles Livingston Bull. |
| 1953 to 1964 -- W. Mladek Willy purchased Sekon in 1953 and operated it as a resort hotel for more than 10 years. Willy was the former manger of Sekon in the Pines, a resort hotel operated at one time at Prospect Point, the former Adolph Lewisohn great camp. The Saranac Lake Library has a file copy of a Sekon Lodge brochure. |
| 1951 to 1953 -- Franklin County biefly assumed ownership of Sekon in a mortgage foreclosure action against the Dellavies. Property also briefly held by Adirondack Lodge Inc. |
| 1944 -- Fish Rock passes out of Seligman family hands for the first time. It is sold to Mildred Carlotta Dellevie, Aug. 16, 1944. (Franklin County property records). Operated as a resort called Ralph Dellevie's Sekon Lodge on Fish Rock by the Dellevie Family of New York City until 1948. The Saranac Lake Free Library has a copy of this ad for the Dellevie business. |
